The book I read over and over again is On the Road’ by Jack Karouac.
If I ran the city of Amsterdam for one day I would  take the day off. I would give everyone the day off. And tell them to look up. Amsterdam’s beauty is sometimes ignored and all of her leaning buildings and old stories are worth a days attention. National Look Up Day.
The quote I live my life by is  ’Nothing that is worth knowing can be taught’ ( credits go to Oscar Wilde)
I cannot live without Air. Passion. Lowlands. Music. Paracetamol.
The last piece of advice I ever got was from friend Myrtheand she said ‘If you let go, you have two free hands’.

‘Extra’s’ was the last movie that made me cry. But it is not really a movie. And I wasn’t crying. I was laughing. Out loud.

I’m a terrible liar and cleaning is not a huge specialty neither…

When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is hit snooze 8 times and after that put on some music. Only dull people are brilliant at breakfast.
I talk to myself every day. That is probably not the best answer. I talk to my lovelines every day. My lover, my cat ‘Sok’ and my closest friends.
I’m scared of meeting parents. Anyones parents really. Maybe just parents in general.
If I could, every day I would eat Frikandel speciaal.
My happy place in Amsterdam is at the 5th floor at the OBA ( library) there’s this chair next to the window that let’s you see all of Amsterdam and shuts out al the noise of the city. Sitting there feels like coming up for fresh air. And that was not supposed to rhyme.

The book I read over and over again is The Prophet by Khalil Gibran, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and the Celestine Prophecies by James Redfield. They just deserve extra thought, niet waar?
If I ran the city of Amsterdam for one day I would throw a party where you had to dress up or you’d be breaking the law. Theme: dress as your favourite buitenlander/foreigner.

The world is about to end, you’ve got 48-hours   ring my brother and other family and friends to tell them how special they are (quickly before the phones go out b/c everyone else is doing the same thing!), do something crazy like swim in the canal or streak across museumplein or tell that guy I have a crush on him, go to a big party and drink one of everything and then watch it all happen from the window of my favourite cafe while sipping coffee and eating delicious food with mates and nursing my hangover. I suppose I’ll have to make the food and coffee myself as no one in their right mind will answer this question saying, “…and then I’ll spend my last 8 hours cooking and making coffee for people with hangovers”. Life isn’t perfect!
