Q&A Latoya Van de Meeren– Communications Manager

The book I read over and over again is On the Road’ by Jack Karouac.
If I ran the city of Amsterdam for one day I would take the day off. I would give everyone the day off. And tell them to look up. Amsterdam’s beauty is sometimes ignored and all of her leaning buildings and old stories are worth a days attention. National Look Up Day.
The quote I live my life by is ’Nothing that is worth knowing can be taught’ ( credits go to Oscar Wilde)
I cannot live without Air. Passion. Lowlands. Music. Paracetamol.
The last piece of advice I ever got was from friend Myrtheand she said ‘If you let go, you have two free hands’.
Colorblind by the Counting Crows is the soundtrack to my mind,
Marmite or Peanut Butter? Always Peanut Butter. Always.
And now, for a few words about Defenestration?
‘Extra’s’ was the last movie that made me cry. But it is not really a movie. And I wasn’t crying. I was laughing. Out loud.
My fail-safe joke changes: well I can’t tell you that now, I might need it…
I’m a terrible liar and cleaning is not a huge specialty neither…
The word that best describes me is real, but that just kind of makes me sound like a J.Lo soundtrack.
If I wasn’t here I’d hopefully be surfing somewhere in byron bay.
The world is about to end, you’ve got 48-hours to live. .
When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is hit snooze 8 times and after that put on some music. Only dull people are brilliant at breakfast.
I talk to myself every day. That is probably not the best answer. I talk to my lovelines every day. My lover, my cat ‘Sok’ and my closest friends.
I’m scared of meeting parents. Anyones parents really. Maybe just parents in general.
If I could, every day I would eat Frikandel speciaal.
My happy place in Amsterdam is at the 5th floor at the OBA ( library) there’s this chair next to the window that let’s you see all of Amsterdam and shuts out al the noise of the city. Sitting there feels like coming up for fresh air. And that was not supposed to rhyme.

Q&A Joyce Bergsma– Reception

The book I read over and over again is The Prophet by Khalil Gibran, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and the Celestine Prophecies by James Redfield. They just deserve extra thought, niet waar?
If I ran the city of Amsterdam for one day I would throw a party where you had to dress up or you’d be breaking the law. Theme: dress as your favourite buitenlander/foreigner.
The quote I live my life by is As I see it every day you do one of two things; build health or produce disease in yourself. ~ Adele Davis.
I cannot live without my agenda (boring, I know!).
The best piece of advice I ever got was from brother Aland she said ”use your powers for good instead of evil”
Enya’s ‘sail away’ are the soundtrack to my mind,
Marmite (blech, ptui!) or Peanut Butter?
And now, for a few words about what I’m absorbed with outside of 180…I’m a Nutritional Therapist that specializes in helping people be happier (www.eatlivelovefood.com)
Dancer in the Dark was the last movie that made me cry.
My fail-safe joke changes: What’s brown and sticky?
I’m terrible at remembering all the great jokes i’ve heard
The word that best describes me is gregarious.
If I wasn’t here I’d be Uzbekistan visiting my BFF Jayne.
The world is about to end, you’ve got 48-hours ring my brother and other family and friends to tell them how special they are (quickly before the phones go out b/c everyone else is doing the same thing!), do something crazy like swim in the canal or streak across museumplein or tell that guy I have a crush on him, go to a big party and drink one of everything and then watch it all happen from the window of my favourite cafe while sipping coffee and eating delicious food with mates and nursing my hangover. I suppose I’ll have to make the food and coffee myself as no one in their right mind will answer this question saying, “…and then I’ll spend my last 8 hours cooking and making coffee for people with hangovers”. Life isn’t perfect!
When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is think about how comfy I am under my duvet.
I talk to a few of my friends everyday.
I’m scared ofletting fear stop me from experiencing things.
If I could, every day I would eat anything with corn in it. NonGM and organic of course
My happy place in Amsterdam is at Het Grote Avontuur.

Q&A Hilco Beukema– Production

The book I read over and over again is Facebook.
If I ran the city of Amsterdam for one day I would provide everyone with bike lights that never run out of batteries.
The quote I (try to) live my life by is After rain come puddles of water. To jump in!
I cannot live without my iMac. Hmmm… iMac.
The last piece of advice I ever got was from my mom and she said go do what you love most, not what will make you more money.
The Temper Trap are the soundtrack to my mind,
Marmite or Peanut Butter? Peanutbutter, no contest.
And now, for a few words about zombies: probably the coolest type of undead.
Dancer in the Dark was the last tv series that made me cry. That, or anything with emotional elderly.
My fail-safe joke changes: but how about: envelope tells the stamp, ‘stick with me and we’ll go places’
I’m terrible at eating the skin of chicken drumsticks.
The word that best describes me is tall.
If I wasn’t here I’d be traveling the world, chasing frisbees.
The world is about to end, you’ve got 48-hours to prepare and throw a massive party – hey, no hangover at the other end!
When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is watch the NOS journaal over breakfast.
I talk to telephone every day. Even when I’m not calling someone.
I’m scared ofheights. And Geert Wilders.
If I could, every day I would eat Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough
My happy place in Amsterdam is at a table, park or bar with my friends.
